HIGH STREET LOANS

I just took out a high street loan. “OH NO!!!” I hear you cry, “High street loans have such high interest!” Well, this is just not true. High street loans work out cheaper than accidental overdrafts.

Take my bank. Last month I forgot to leave fifty pounds in for a direct debit. I remembered in time but I had no cash to put in the bank. The direct debit was submitted and refused. I was charged fifteen pounds by bank. Next the direct debit was re-submitted, refused and charges were another fifteen quid. These charges were applied straight away putting my account overdrawn, incurring overdraft charges.  Altogether these charges came to over fifty pounds.

I found out later that I could have had a high street loan for the fifty pounds due on the Direct Debit, therefore incurring no bank charges. This loan would have cost me twelve pounds fifty. You do the maths.
